One night about three weeks ago Braden was saying his personal prayers before bed and just after the missionaries had left our home. Braden had not been interested in the gospel message that much little-lone baptism. He was taking the discussions to find out more about the church and that was about all.
After his prayer this night it looked like a light switch had been turned on in Braden and he was filled with energy and excitement. He ended his prayer and immediately turned to me and said that he wanted to be baptized to be forgiven of all his sins and to get the Holy Ghost as his constant companion....a part of the gospel message had suddenly "clicked" for him and he was ready to go.
Fast forward three weeks and here we are. Braden was baptized today September 13, 2008....HOORAY!
His Dad Wade and oldest brother Kyler came up from Utah to be a part of this wonderful day.
Looking good in WHITE!
Braden asked Grandpa Dalton to baptize him. Since Grandpa baptized his older sister Shaylee he thought it would be cool to have Grandpa do him too, and he was CORRECT!
CONFIRMATION TOMORROW!!!

Cool Car
I'm a Lotus Elise!

You believe in maximum performance and minimum baggage. You like to travel light and fast, hit the corners hard, and dance like there's no tomorrow.

We just like this car the most.
I'm a Chevrolet Corvette!

You're a classic - powerful, athletic, and competitive. You're all about winning the race and getting the job done. While you have a practical everyday side, you get wild when anyone pushes your pedal. You hate to lose, but you hardly ever do.

I'm a Mazda Miata!

You like to soak up the sun, but your tastes are down to earth. Everyone thinks you're cute. Life is a winding road, and you like to take the curves in stride. Let other people compete in the rat race - you're just here to enjoy the ride.

I'm a Ferrari 360 Modena!

You've got it all. Power, passion, precision, and style. You're sensuous, exotic, and temperamental. Sure, you're expensive and high-maintenance, but you're worth it.

I'm a Ford Mustang!

You're an American classic -- fast, strong, and bold. You're not snobby or pretentious, but you have what it takes to give anyone a run for their money.

The Scorpion
The Crab
I'm really not sure why Braden chose the red loin-cloth look for his evening wear.

What's the secret?
Dinner time and bed time have become a source of great contention and stress in my home. The kids get home from school and we are doing home work, after school snacks (maybe), chores (one each kid every day), and then starting dinner. By the time dinner is ready to be served I am ready to scream and swear at everyone.
Dinner ends.
Later there is bedtime. We do two kids with two showers (babies don't count in this rotation) every night, brush teeth, jamies, scriptures, family prayer, personal prayers, massage, tickle, rub (that is my job...massage the child's back, then tickle the back, then rub the back). By the time showers are done I am swearing in my head again. Bedtime is taking like one and a half hours....WHY?!!! How did the parents of our latter day Prophets and Apostles do all this and still raise up these awesome children who praise their parents and are faithful talented individuals?
By the time everyone is down there is no time for Stevey and I to settle down and enjoy each others company. The kids aren't getting into bed until 9:15pm and then leaving me alone until 9:30...this is really stressing me out. What would you do and you have to consider that we have a 12 yr old, 10, 9, and 7 so an eight o'clock bed time isn't realistic at all. I feel like a failure of a mother ever night starting around 4:30pm and I hate it.
