On Saturday June 29th the "Livestrong Ladies" ran the "To Bones and Back" marathon relay. It is a forty mile course, through the country, that we broke down into eight equal legs of five miles each. Four of the ladies are strong marathoners and the other four were first timers or (in my case still healing from child birth) so there was no pressure to win....just a lot of fun. It started at 7:30am and ended for our team at around 2:30pm.
My always supportive husband and me
The rug rats
Some of the team: Tiffany(my neighbor), Kim (my other neighbor...we sandwich Tiffany), Amy, me, and Dana.
Waiting for Christina to pass me the "bone". I ran the third leg which started for me at around 9:15am.
Some of the sights....
It was hot and windy the whole time.
My family was there every half mile cheering me on, offering me water, and shooting video.
My course was hilly....lots of ups and downs in the terrain.
I just finished my leg and passed the "bone" to my team mate Lindsey.
Didi, me, and Tiffany (the team leader)
The team riding in the back of the truck keeping track of our teammates...offering water and moral support. It was so much fun!
Kim, me and the kids sitting on a "bone" wood bench and the twenty mile mark.
I don't have the photo, but we finished the race as a team holding hands running across the finish line.

Gone Baby Gone
Dalton finally lost his first tooth this afternoon while eating...of all things...watermelon, his favorite fruit!
He was munching away when suddenly he stopped what he was doing and said, "Oh my word!" and started to touch his tooth. I then signaled for him to tug on the tooth...
When he did the tooth came right out and I started snapping pictures...
hence the blood!!!!
He is totally excited about the tooth fairy coming tonight and already has his plan in place to catch her in the act. And now he is telling me that he thinks he knows who the tooth fairy is...."you mom, fairies aren't real!" Yeah, whatever...we'll see if the tooth fairy EVER comes to your house!
