Chocolate Bear Assignment

The assignment (again) was to have a wonderful time with Chocolate Bear visiting our family in our home for one evening. The child (Zoie in this situation) is then supposed to journal the experience.

Tuesday nights are the busiest nights of the week for us and we had forgotten about poor ol' Chocolate Bear. So, in the eleventh hour we decided to have some extreme fun with our furry visitor to make up for the abandonment he had suffered all evening!

Just like Zoie included in her journal, she and Dalton got into a fight over who got to snuggle with Chocolate Bear the most....! There is nothing quite like a school assignment to bring a family together.

Fiesta Day's at school!

In San Antonio we love our Fiesta Day's and they study about it for weeks in school....never mind that it really is all about drinking and partying! Never the less, the music, colors, flowers, and parades please us all.

Stevey's New Suit

After several years of mild debate, Stevey decided to invest in a new suit. Not just any suit though, it had to be special, it had to have pinstripes.....and it looks GOOD!

Baptism

Stevey and Zoie on the BIG day!

Zoie and her baptism friend Jacob!

Eight IS great! Zoie turned eight on February 2nd and was baptized on February 10th with a friend. She and her friend sang a duet "I Know When I Am Baptized" and it was very good. Kim gave a talk about the Holy Ghost and likened the Gift of the Holy Chost to having a flashlight during a black out (a favorite example from the mission days), Stevey baptized and confirmed her (AWESOME) and her brother Dalton gave a wonderful closing prayer. It was a wonderful day....we are all so proud of her and I am still coming to grips that she is actually EIGHT years old!
