New Home

After being shown over thirty houses in two days this is the one we chose. What we like best about this house is the location and yard potential. It is located in a cul de sac, on a third acre, with our church just around the corner. The streets are wide (those of you from San Antonio will appreciate this) and clear of cars and traffic.

On the third day we made an offer on this one. The seller countered once, but since we were completely out of time (flying out the next morning) and had no time for messing around, made our final offer and gave him two hours to respond......and we got it!

It had been on the market for over five months and is in a beautiful neighborhood so we were wondering what was wrong with it...its a 2007 new construction that has never been lived in. Our realtor pulled its history and discovered that it had been listed way too high. We ended up getting it for over $30k below its original listing price!

The obvious truth is that it had been vacant all these months waiting for us!!

My least favorite thing about this house is the lack of size and lack of flow of the kitchen and the size of the dining room. HOWEVER we do get these stainless steel appliances so it makes it a little better.

Some of my favorite things are the finished basement, duel sink in the master, and the closet in the master.

For the next couple of weeks we are going to continue with this level of insanity. Stevey is leaving for his new job in a few days, the movers are coming and moving us on the 15th, we close on our SA house on the 16th and me and the kids will head out that night to pick Stevey up in El Paso....who is flying there so he can help us get to our new destination and still be back in time for work on Monday. We close on our new house on the 21st (the day before Thanksgiving) if we miss that day it will be Monday the 26th. We do have a couple of back up plans if things don't run as scheduled.

We have been able to see the hand of the Lord in everything that has been happening lately and are so grateful for his love, direction, and Spirit that has sustained us and kept us pressing forward.

Wooo-hoooo! Awesome house you guys! Even if the kitchen doesn't exactly "flow" like you want - it sure is a beautiful kitchen! I'm sure the rest of the house is great too. You'll love the big yard - it's nice to have so much room for the kids to run! And a cul-de-sac... YOU WILL LOVE IT! I never knew how awesome it would be to live on one - and now I don't think I could ever live without it! Good luck with the next few weeks! I'm sure everything will go smoothly for you - just as it has so far! You definitely have shown much faith - we can all learn from you! We love and miss you guys!
