The perfect life!

What a Weekend!

Our Weekend started on Wednesday night when our friends the Yeates made it into town from Dallas. It has been a couple of years since we've seen them.

On that same night another friend came into town from Houston with her girls so we all got together for some brownies and ice cream.

YUMMY!

The following day the Yeates were to come to our house for a nice Mexican dinner, BUT that was the day that the rain didn't stop falling and they couldn't get to our house due to flooding and road closures. They had to spend the night in their hotel room with with nothing to do...sounds like a great time.

On Saturday we were all able to meet up at Sea World for a big going away play-fest and apparently that was the same idea the other two million visitors had in mind.

We had to wait in too many lines for way too long. Our one year old girls were all out of patience and Clover cried for what felt like hours until I sat her here in this beach chair and gave her this bag of crackers. We won't even talk about the woman who accused my friend of stealing her "saved" beach chairs and who started thowing our bags around and the tantrum I threw over it!!!!

Around one o'clock we went to the parking lot to say good bye to our friends and to exchange lunch...no food is allowed to be brought into the park. They ate it on their way home to Dallas.

By the next day and immediately after Stake Conference (that I enjoyed walking the hallway and in the drinking fountain with Clover) Zoie decided she was going to run away! On her way out the door she was considerate enough to drop us a note.

Stevey quickly caught up with her and gave her a cell phone to use incase she got scared or needed anything.

After about two minutes on her own Stevey set out to follow her just in case this got too serious, and luckily he found her in the drive way unsure where to go. They decided to take a walk together and take pictures with the cell phone camera. By the time they made it back home she felt much better and had a great time with her family.

Father Daughter Dance

Around Father's Day the fitness club I teach at was hosting a Father Daughter Dance. Zoie was completely taken by the idea so I signed her and Stevey up....confident that Stevey would not shatter his oldest daughters dream of being taken to her first dance.

They got all dressed up for the big night and headed out for the big dance.

Dalton, Clover and I decided to go under cover and spy on them....wouldn't any adoring mother! I dropped the kids off in the child care and then hid myself behind a wall and held out my digital camera (that has a swiviling LCD screen) and shot video of the two dancing, laughing, and taking part in the nights events with out them noticing. They enjoyed yummy snacks, awesome prizes, and unforgettable memories. They stayed and danced for the entire three hours (I spyed for 20 minutes) during which time Stevey twirled, and lifted, and tossed Zoie across the dance floor to her little hearts content.
