Binky Connoisseur

At two years old Clover is an EXPERT at the pacifier and we are honored to have her lending us her expertise with the batch of newborn Binky's that are now littering our house. Lets watch the master at work.....

The three tone...

The blue upside down butterfly...

Pretty in pink...

St. Paddy's green...

And her favorite the double decker!

Sunny is very lucky to have a big sister making sure these things work properly. And maybe one day Sunny will get to use them herself!

Flea Market

Today we woke up and were ready to do something fun. No one was sick and the baby is on some sort of a schedule, so we decided to go to my favorite store in IF, the Mini Bazaar (the cutest and best permanent boutique ever), the IF Museum to see the Egyptian displays, lunch at a restaurant, and then the Flea Market.

The Bazaar was great. The Museum even better than expected and we ran into some of our good friends and the kids got to play together in the kid area, the restaurant really hit the spot, and then there was the Flea Market...

Yes I know that Flea Markets are....well....flea markets, but...

I have been looking around for some good fashion jewelry places and the market was refered to me. Each booth had their jewelry out but it was pretty bad. Most of it looked like they had just combined beads from several necklaces they had found around the house and put them on chains they found out in the gutters. Well one of these booths had some magnet things that my kids liked to hold. The lady at the booth decided that my older kids shouldn't be touching them so announced for all to hear, "Don't drop them!" I quickly look up and saw that she was making eye contact with me and the next second my eyes darted to my children who where standing like statues holding the cheep magnates. I then asked my children to put them down. Dalton said "She said not to drop them not put them down." I told him that what she meant was for them to put them down...this totally confused him. Anyway I put the cheep magnets back into their boxes and we were just leaving the booth when this Kooky, no social skills woman said to my children "Make sure you put everything back!" Stevey and I looked at each other with rolling eyes and I assured the lady that they had put everything back and actually I put it all back for them. She then said that I wouldn't believe how many parents miss it when their children "forget" to put things down. Oh thank you for accusing my children of being thief's. Her comment REALLY bugged me so I did the first thing that came to my mind. I grabbed my first child had her put her arms out, spread her legs, and patted her down from head to ankles and did the same with my son. Once I had accomplished the task I assured the lady that they were all clean and clear to go it that was OK with her. I didn't bother to wait for her response.

Mother-Of -The Year award is in the mail coming to my house!

Anyway, once we got home we spent the rest of the afternoon riding our bikes (in 30 degree weather), visiting friends, having snowball fights, and riding our neighbors 4-wheeler....it was a great day.

Sunny's Blessing Day

What a great weekend! Today was Sunny's highly anticipated blessing day and we had several family members come up from Utah to celebrate the day with us.

Sunny in her blessing dress that I bought for her nine years ago.

A classic dress for our classic beauty.

I love it when the babies are blessed because it gives us an opportunity to get a glimpse of who these precious little ones are and can be. Many wonderful things were mentioned about Sunny today, but there is one thing I wanted to share in particular. She was told (or we her parents were forewarned) that there will come a time when she will be faced with the decision of getting married or serving a mission. It will be her decision for both choices are righteous.....that was a little unexpected! I asked Stevey afterwards if he happened to know what the guy looked like so we can an eye out for him, but that part wasn't revealed to him!

Mom and daughter.

The cousins; Heather and Michelle with Clover, Dalton, and Zoie.

Vadah (Stevey's step mom), Larry (his dad), Teri (Kim's oldest sister), Stevey, Fred and Sally (Kim's parents). We had just sat down for our celebration feast...BBQ pork ribs, shredded cheese potato's, and homemade cream corn. This has been my most favorite meal as a kid growing up and I thought it the perfect time to share it with my children and extended family....it was the perfect meal to finish our perfect weekend.

Happy Birthday Clover

February is THE month for our family. We get to enjoy something special every week starting on the 2nd with Zoie's birthday (post to come...hopefully), the 7th with Sunny's birthday, the 14th Valentines Day, and then the 22nd with Clover's birthday.

She is the BIG TWO YEARS OLD today! Happy Birthday!

Two Weeks

Truth Be Known

For YEARS and YEARS people have asked me who Dalton got his curls from. Since Stevey was in the military and had the mandatory hair cut no one had every really got to see one of Stevey's greatest assets, his hair!

Anyway, he was working-out the other night here at the house and I noticed that his hair is REALLY starting to look good and I personally thought he looked dang HOT so I snapped his picture. He does look a bit put-out in the photo but who cares....his hair looks great!

What's Going On Here!

I haven't been taking many pictures of the kids lately so the other day when Clover awoke from her afternoon nap and sounded really cute I decided to grab the camera.

She was playing with a little kitty and talking to it...

I was just snapping away and noticed her countenance start to change...

Zooming in to get a better look....I was still confused.

Then it (the smell) hit me, and she was back to being cute.

And playing with the kitty again...
